Terms/Conditions
By placing an order or submitting payment, you agree to the following terms and conditions. This agreement supersedes all prior verbal or written communication. Acceptance of a sales order or invoice confirms your full review and acceptance of this policy, including all warranty, receiving, return, and compliance requirements.
Customer Responsibilities
Verification of Shielding Requirements
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that the specified lead equivalency meets the shielding requirements of their project.
Accurate Orders
Upon payment, all product details—sizes, quantities, descriptions, and lead equivalency—are considered verified and final.
Order Finality
No cancellations or changes are allowed once an order is paid. Orders are final once paid except where a same-day cancellation request is submitted (on the same day the order is placed and paid) by 1 PM Eastern Time and the order has not entered fabrication.
Company Right to Cancel
Liberty Shielding reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to pricing errors, product unavailability, specification conflicts, or fulfillment limitations. In such cases, the customer will be notified and a full refund of any payment received will be issued.
Fabrication & Shipping Timelines
Production and shipping timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed. Liberty Shielding is not responsible for delays causing jobsite or construction impacts, nor any liquidated damages or penalties incurred due to such delays.
Plan Interpretation
Liberty Shielding does not interpret drawings or designs.
Warranty Policy
We stand behind the quality and performance of our products, including their shielding effectiveness.
Coverage:
- Lead Equivalency Warranty: We guarantee that your product will continue to meet the specified lead equivalency for 10 years, provided the optional 10 year extended warranty is purchased, it is installed properly, and all warranty activation steps have been completed within 1 week of installation.
- Manufacturing Defects: Products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 1 year from delivery.
Post-Installation Claims
Manufacturing defect claims may be honored after installation, provided all warranty activation requirements are met and the product was installed correctly.
Lead Equivalency Protection Remains Valid
The lead equivalency warranty remains valid unless post-delivery damage or modification compromises shielding integrity.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:
- Incorrect plans or specifications
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage, modification, or alteration after delivery
- Defects caused by improper installation or handling
Warranty Activation (Required)
To activate your product warranty:
- Install the product in its final location
- Email sales@libertyshielding.com with:
- At least one clear photo (preferably two) of each product installed
- Your order or invoice number
- The project name
Failure to activate the warranty cancels all coverage, including lead equivalency and manufacturing defect warranties.
Compliance Guarantee
We guarantee that all products will meet applicable code and the specifications provided. If a product fails to meet the stated lead equivalency, and all warranty activation steps are completed, we will replace or refund it.
Important:
Customers must provide accurate shielding specs. We cannot guarantee compliance with incomplete or incorrect specifications.
Receiving Instructions
Immediately upon delivery, the customer must:
- Be prepared with equipment such as a forklift or loading dock
- Open and inspect all products while the driver is present
- Clearly note any damage on the delivery receipt
- Notify us immediately via phone and email
No claims for freight damage or delivery discrepancies will be accepted after the delivery receipt is signed or after installation.
Liberty Shielding is not liable for freight damage unless proper inspection and documentation procedures are followed. We will assist with freight claims when these procedures are followed.
Return, Refund, and Replacement Policy
Due to the custom nature of our products, returns are subject to the following:
Return Requirements
- Must be submitted in writing within 30 days to sales@libertyshielding.com
- Require a Return Authorization (RMA) number
- Are subject to a minimum 35% restocking fee
- Customer is responsible for shipping costs and insurance
- Custom products, glass products, installed, or damaged items are not eligible for return
Re-Work / Re-Fabrication Policy
If a product must be reworked due to design changes or site conditions, Liberty Shielding may perform re-fabrication as a courtesy. However:
- Customer must sign a Release of Liability
- Failure to sign this release voids all warranties on the affected product
- Liberty Shielding is not responsible for additional costs, delays, or damages related to rework, warranty replacement, or installation issues
Transit Damage & Theft
- Damage must be reported within two business days and properly documented
- Theft after delivery is not covered
Refund Policy
Refunds will be processed after return inspection. Please allow up to 10 business days for credit to reflect.
Order Cancellations
To cancel an order, email sales@libertyshielding.com before 1 PM Eastern on the same business day. Cancellations after shipment are subject to this return policy.
Liability Disclaimer
Liberty Shielding is not responsible for any incidental, consequential, or related damages, including:
- Liquidated damages
- Jobsite or construction delays
- Loss of income or penalties
- Direct or indirect costs related to warranty claims or installation errors
Our liability is limited strictly to the value of the merchandise sold.
