FireLite Standard is a 3/16" ceramic fire-rated glass designed for fire-protective glazing applications where impact-rated safety glazing is not required.
Unlike ordinary window glass, ceramic fire glass is engineered to withstand the extreme temperatures associated with a fire while remaining within the opening for its designated fire rating.
FireLite Standard is an excellent choice for qualifying interior fire-rated wall openings where safety glazing is not required.

Glass installed in a fire-rated door has requirements beyond those of ordinary architectural glazing.
The glass, door, lite frame, hardware, dimensions, and complete opening must be appropriate for the required fire rating.
Because door glazing is also commonly located in an area requiring impact safety, non-safety-rated FireLite Standard should not be substituted for an appropriate safety-rated product where safety glazing is required.
For qualifying door applications, FireLite-NT, FireLite Plus, or WireLite-NT may be appropriate depending on the project's requirements.
Ceramic fire-rated glass is an excellent solution for approved vision openings in fire-rated walls because it can withstand substantially higher temperatures than ordinary architectural glass.
